Jagapatibabu's new flick is Kshatriya Vamsam

Jagapatibabu is playing the role of hero in the movie Kshatriya Vamsam being directed by Jonnalagadda Srinivas. Previously Jonnalagadda Srinivas and Jagapatibabu worked together for the movie Jagapati. Presently, Jagapatibabu is busy with the shooting of a film being made on the banner of Adityaram Movies under the direction of Dasarath. Kshatriya Vamsam would go to sets after the completion of the Adityaram Movies' film.

Filmfare award for Prince Maheshbabu and Genelia

Maheshbabu bagged the filmfare for Best Hero award for Pokiri. This is the second Filmfare award for Maheshbabu, the first one being for Okkadu. The other Filmfare awards are Best Heroine for Genelia (Bommarillu) , Best Director for Puri Jagannath (Pokiri), Best Music Director for Devisri Prasad (Bommarillu), Best Character Artiste Male for Saikumar (Samanyudu) , Best Character Artiste Female for Sandhya (Annavaram) , Best lyricist for Veturi (Godavari) , Best Singer Male for S.P. Balasubrahmanyam (Sriramadasu), and Best Singer Female for Mamata Mohandas (Raakhi). These awards would be presented to the winners at Hyderabad on August 4, 2007.

First schedule of Bapu's film completed

The first schedule of a film being directed by Bapu and produced by K Aparna on the banner of Chaitra Cinema Circuit (C3) with Naresh and Charmme in the lead was completed recently.

The first schedule was held between July 9 and 21 at Ramoji Film City. A song was canned on Charmme, Prema, Ranganath, Sangeetha, Vizag Prasd, Rallapalli and Sunil Sharma.

The film has story, screenplay and dialogues from Mullapudi Venkataramana, which had several elements like emotion, entertainment, politics, family, and love, besides a modern touch.

A five-day shooting was held at NCL Gardens involving Naresh, Charmme, Kota Srinivasa Rao, LB Sriram, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Duvvasi Mohan, Lakshmipati, Gauthamraju and Prithvi.

The shooting was later continued from July 29 at Hyderabad, Bobbili, Vizianagaram, Araku, Rajole.

Veturi and Jonnavithula are scripting lyrics, while Vidyasagar is scoring tunes for the movie.

Vijayadasami climax shoot at Ramoji Film City

The first schedule of a film directed by Dasarath and produced by Aditya Ram on the banner of Adityaram Movies with Jagapatibabu, Bhoomika Chawla and Anushka in the lead was completed after a seven-day shoot in Hyderabad.

The second schedule slated in Rajahmundry would continue for about a weeks time. Again the unit would return to Hyderabad and go for a 10-day shooting. Later in September, a schedule was planned in the US.

The film is being moulded as a reflection of the affection between wife and husband and the human relations.

RP Patnaik is scoring music for the movie. A song and a part of the talkie was completed in the first schedule, while the second schedule too will have a song and a part of talkie

Charmme says Mantra is going to a true technical movie

The shooting of Mantra with Charmme playing the title role was finished recently and the film is now busy in rerecording activities.

Raviprakash B, who provided story and screenplay for the movie says, It is the story of a girl called Mantra. She used to enjoy her life very happily. But there was a sudden change in her due to the difference between the belief and the truth. What is the truth and what was the belief is a suspense.

Director Tulasikumar T says, We gave a lot of preference to technical values in the movie. Especially Sivendras cinematography would be a highlight of the film. It is a rare gift for those who welcome novelty. Charmmes performance would mesmerize the audiences. We are sure that the film would attract all classes of audiences.

Heroine Charmme says, As was I am saying right from the launch of this film, this would remain a memorable film in my entire film career. I could mention about this film proudly even after 10-15 years. Director Tulasirams taking, Raviprakash screenplay and Sivendra cinematography would remain major plus points of this flick.

Producer says, We are planning to launch the audio in the first week of August and release the film in the last week.

Last schedule of Lakshmi Putrudu

Udaykiran and Diya are playing the lead in Lakshmi Putrudu directed by Tamil director Raj Kapoor and produced by Polisetty Rambabu of Gopi (Goda Meeda Pilli)- fame on the banner of RS Films.

The final schedule of the film is in progress now.

Udaykiran unveiled the posters of the film. The current schedule has begun on July 19.

Vijayadasami climax shoot at Ramoji Film City

Shooting of climax scenes for Vijayadasami directed by V Samudra and produced by Edara Ranga Rao on the banner of Sai Sarwajit Movies with Nandamuri Kalyanram in the lead is in progress at Ramoji Film City from July 28.

A decision to release the film on September 6th and the entire unit is working hard to complete the film in the set deadline. Our hero Kalyanram and director V Samudra are struggling a lot and working hard like never before for this movie. At the same time, post-production works are also in progress simultaneously at the same pace. We are confident that our film Vijayadasami would earn us a big hit in this Sarvajit year.

A successful Tamil movie starring Bharat (Premiste fame), Sandhya (Premisthe fame), and Bhavana (Ontari fame) is being dubbed into Telugu as Muduru with the tag line Premisthe by G. Hari Kumar and K .Lakshminarayana on the banner of Sri Lakshmi Srinivasa Pictures. The story of the film is based on a real life incident that occurred on Andhra-Tamil Nadu border. Dialogues and lyrics are given by Vennelakanti. Sabhesh and Murali scored the music of the film. Action is by Kanal Kannan and Suresh is the executive producer . Srinu is the director of the movie.

Pellikani Prasad in post production works

Shooting of Pellikani Prasad directed by Satyam Dwarapudi and produced by Ramesh Kumar Alapati and Soma Vijayaprakash on the banner of Godavari Films starring Sivaji, Naresh and Sridevi was completed recently. Presently post production works are going on at a brisk pace. Audio of the movie would be launched in the first week of August and the film would be released in the last week of August. Camera is handled by Anji and editing is by Upendra Kumar.

Srinivasa Reddy to direct 'Kuberulu'

Godavari Films is planning a film titled Kuberulu with a tagline Veellaki Annee Appulay in the direction of Srinivasa Reddy. Godavari Films is presently producing a film Pellikaani Prasad under the direction of Satyam with Sivaji, Naresh and Sridevi in the lead. Srinivasa Reddy had previously directed films like Adirindayya Chandram and Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila and is presently busy in making of Yamagola (Mallee Modalayindi). Hansika Motwani in NTR's Kantri

Shooting of the film Kantri produced by Ashwini Dutt and directed by Meher Ramesh starring Junior NTR will start in September. Meher Ramesh has previously directed Kannada films VeeraKannadiga (Andhrawala remake) and Ajay(Okkadu remake). There are two heroines in this movie. Doctorate to Veturi by Nagarjuna University

Acharya Nagarjuna University has announced an honorary doctorate to Veturi Sundarama Murthy, which would be awarded to him on August 3 at its convocation. As you well know, Veturi Sundarama Murthy is a popular lyricist.

Veturi Sundararama Murthy is a disciple of the legendary Tirupati Venkata Kavulu. While working as a journalist, Veturi got his first break in movies through K. Viswanath. Later, he wrote thousands of songs. Veturi wrote a large variety of songs ranging from classic poetry to the folk and mass ones. He is also the second lyricist from Telugu film industry to win the National Film Award for Best Lyrics for the song Raalipoye puvva neeku ragaalenduke from the picture Maathrudevobhava. He considers Thakita thadimi and Nadavinodamu of Saagara Sangamam to be two of his best songs.

Shivaji as State Rowdy

Hero Shivaji's next film directed by Gandhi and produced by Yalamanchi Ravichand has been titled as State Rowdy. A pressmeet was held on Thursday and title of the movie was anounced. Over 80 percent of the talkie part of Nava Vasantham directed by Shahjahan and produced by N.V. Audio of the film Hello Premisthara directed by Rajkumar, presented by Dil Raju and produced by Puri Jagannath on the banner of Vaishno Academy with Sairam Shankar and Sheela in the lead will be releasing in the first week of August and movie would be released in the last week of August. A press meet was arranged at Vaishno Academy's office to announce the title of the film. Shooting of the film had almost completed except for the canning of a song. The canning of the remaining song would begin from July 25.

Except the hero, heroine and Ashish Vidyarthi, all the other artistes would be different in Hindi and Telugu versions. While Johnny Lever played the comedian in Hindi, Ali played that role in Telugu. Shankar Dada Zindabad Going to Great Business sold by north Andra

Shankar Dada Zindabad, directed by Prabhudeva and produced on the banner of Gemini Film Circuits, with Padma Bhushan, Mega Star, Dr Chiranjeevi as hero, Karishma Kotak in the female lead is creating a sensation even before its release.

The audio sales were in an extraordinary manner and stood on top of audio charts. It may be recalled here that the film's distribution rights for Nizam Area were sold at Rs 8.5 crores which is a record.

Now, the distribution rights for North Andhra were sold at a whopping Rs 7.5 crores.

Surprisingly, Zee Entertainments, which bagged the offer, is making its debut appearance in Telugu film industry as it was restricted to Bollywood films so far.

Let us wait and watch how many sensations the film would create before its release on July 27. Whatever it may be, a Mega Star is a Mega Star. Isn't it?

Operation Duryodhana celebrate 50-days function

The Srikanth-Kalyani starrer Operation Duryodhana directed by Posani Krishnamurali and produced by A Mallikarjuna on the banner of Aman International Movies with Nagababu and Mumaith Khan playing key roles was released 50 days ago and is running towards 100 days at all the centres where it was released.

The half-centenary function was celebrated on a grand scale at Tummalapali Kalakshetram on July 19. Noted journalist Turlapati Kutumba Rao was in the chair.

State minister Mandali Buddha Prasad, VGMTUDA chairman Malladi Vishnu, ACP Vijayakumar, Vijayawada Chamber president Bacchu Narasimha Rao, Posani, Srikanth, Nagababu, Chalapati Rao, Mumaith Khan, Prabhakar, Jackie and others attended the function.

All the guests profusely complimented the film unit.

Director Posani says, I gave the title by inspiring at the scam unearthed by Tehelka. Srikanth performs surgery to the people in general. I thank all the audiences who made our film a big hit. After this film, I am going to do a movie Aapada Mokkulavadu with Nagababu as hero. That would earn another good name to me and to the unit. In fact, Srikanth is responsible for the success of this movie. My special thanks to him.

Nagababu says, Though we had a satisfaction of doing a good movie, we have no hopes on the success of the movie. Posani dished out a memorable hit and earned a good name for him as well as for the unit. Srikanths performance reminded us of Nana Patekar of the Bollywood.

Srikanth says, In fact, this film had to done by hero who had a very big stature. I never thought I would do a character like Bhagavantudu. I had so far played in 94 films, but none of the films had earned me such a good name like this. In fact we are enjoying the completion of 50 days of the film. I thank director Posani and producer Mallikarjuna for giving such a big hit.

Shankar Dada Zindabad will release shortly on 27th July

Gemini Film Circuits, which produced Shankar Dada Zindabad under the direction of Prabhudeva, with Padma Bhushan, Mega Star, Dr Chiranjeevi as hero, Karishma Kotak in the female lead and Srikanth playing the heros sidekick, had officially announced the release date of the film as July 27.

The film had completed its shooting recently and the first copy was submitted to Censor Board for certification.

The Censor Board members awarded a clean U certificate to the movie.

The film which is hitting the screen on July 27 has several specialities. Power Star Pawan Kalyan, Sensational Star Raviteja and Stylish Star Allu Arjun are also appearing on the screen in this film.

Devisri Prasad scored peppy tunes to all the songs and the audio was already proved to be a chart-buster and is creating records in audio sales.

Moreover, this is the first film which is coming as a sequel. Surprisingly, Mega Star is looking very handsome in the posters that were released for publicity recently.

Jr. Rama Naidu to play hero

Jr. Rama Naidu, the son of noted producer D. Suresh Babu and grandson of Movie Mughal D. Rama Naidu is going be introduced as hero soon according to some sources. He is presently managing a graphics work unit called Spirit. It is learnt that D. Ramanaidu is going to produce the movie and it would go to sets in December 2007 and would be released during the summer of 2008.

Manchukurise Velalo to hit screen on August 10

A successful Tamil film Pulakesi produced by noted director Shankar is being dubbed into Telugu as Himsinche 23va Raju Pulakesi by NV Prasad and Paras Jain on the banner of Mega Super Good Films Pvt Ltd, with RB Choudary as presenter.

The first copy of the film is ready. Vadivelu, who earned a distinct recognition as a comedian, is playing the role of a Maharaja in this film, besides another character (dual role).

The film was a big hit in Tamil Nadu and ran for 175 days. Huge sets were erected with heavy budget for this film, despite the film has a comedian in the lead, which is possible only for Shankar.

The film which was produced by Shankar after 'Premiste' proved successful like his first production.

The producers are expressing their confidence that it would be a hit in Telugu as well.

Pellaindi Kaani Play a song by Allari Naresh and Kamalini..

The shooting of Pellayindi Kaanee directed by EVV Satyanarayana and produced by M Narasimha Rao on the banner of Raasi Movies with Naresh and Kamalini Mukherjee in the lead is fast progressing in and around Rajahmundry.

A song, 'Bavalu Bavalu Bavalu Gillandi Letha Buggalu' is being choreographed on Naresh, Sunil, Krishna Bhagawan, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Mallikarjuna Rao and Abhinayasri.

A special set was erected for the film at Pattiseema and a part of the song was shot there. Earlier, some talkie part was shot at Samalkot temple, Atreyapuram and on Godavari river banks in which the entire lead cast were involved.

The shooting in these parts would be completed by July 22.

Later some chasings and action episodes would be shot for four days in Araku Valley and Vizag areas. Then the unit would can the remaining songs at Kashmir from August 15, with which the entire shooting would be wrapped up.

Lakshmi Jyothi Creation's film is Abraham Lincoln

A successful Malayalam film Abraham Lincoln directed by Pramod Paappan with Kalabhavan Mani and Raghumaan of Bharat Bandh-fame as heroes is being dubbed into Telugu with the same name by AN Balaji on the banner of Sri Lakshmi Jyothi Creations.

We started songs recording in Chennai at 7 am on 07.07.07 and completed at 7 pm. Dubbing works were started from the next day. Music by Aupappachan is a highlight and all the four songs were tuned in a melodious way. At the same time, they were also choreographed excellently and were moulded on the celluloid as per the wishes of the director by the cinematographer. The story is about a war between two gold shops and their merchants. The film was a big hit in Kerala.

The scenes between the police officer and the thief would be novel and thrilling. Raghumaan as police officer and Kalabhavan Mani as thief vied with each other in performance. The chases with cars and motorbikes would be on par with Hollywood films. We will soon release the film.

Mee Shreyobhilashi may be the title of Visu Films movie

Mee Shreyobhilashi is the title under consideration for the film directed by Eswara Reddy, presented by C.C. Reddy and produced by Y. Sonia Reddy on the banner of Visu Films. The shooting of the film Bhakta Anantacharya was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on July 9. Suman is playing the title role and the movie is directed by Allani Sridhar. Nara Rammurthy Naidu gave the clap for the muhurat shot picturised on Suman and Ranganath for the film. National award winner Madhu Mahankali is holding the cinematography for the movie. Surya-Asin starrer movie shooting at brisk pace

Biggest indoor set in Asia for Yamadonga

Biggest ever indoor set so far in whole of Asia and also the costliest individual set was erected for Yamadonga. About 300 workers worked on the set day and night for more than 90 days to erect the set of Yama Lokam in Ramoji Film City. It took almost one and half month to dismantle the set after the shooting. Apart from this, a few other sets were erected for shooting of four songs and the set of the Hero House and the Heroine House were also done.
