Lakshmi Putrudu audio to hit stands on September 2

Audio of the film Lakshmi Putrudu directed by Rajkapoor and produced by Polisetty Rambabu on the banner of RS Films with Udaykiran and Diya in the lead will be released on September 2 at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad. Shooting of the film was almost complete and post-production works are also in progress. Recently some scenes were shot with the helicopter that was used for the shooting of Sivaji with Rajanikanth as hero, on Brahmanandam. In addition, a song was choreographed at a specially erected set at Ramoji Film City on Brahmanandam and Mumaith Khan. D. Imaan is scoring music of the film. The film would be released by the end of September.

NTR Memorial Award to Krishna

NTR Memorial Award for the year 2003 was announced to Superstar Krishna. The Government of Andhra Pradesh had introduced a lifetime achievement award in the name of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao called 'NTR Memorial Award' some time ago. Due to some reasons the announcement of this award was stopped from three years. Now the NTR memorial award was announced for all the three years. NTR Memorial Award was announced to Superstar Krishna for the year 2003, to Music Maestro Illayaraja for the year 2004 and to Kannada artiste and politician, Ambarish for the year 2005. This was declared by the Nandi Awards Committee comprising Gummadi Venkateswara Rao, M Balaiah and M Mohanbabu. These Awards along with the Nandi Awards would be presented at a function to be held in November.

Ashwini Dutt is producing a film Kantri on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies to be directed by Meher Ramesh with Junior NTR in the title role. Wedding reception of Lokesh and Brahmini attended by thousands of Ballayya fans

Wedding reception of Nandamuri Balakrishna's daughter Brahmini and Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's son Lokesh was held at Nimmakuru the birth place of Balakrishna on August 29, 2007. Thousands of Nandamuri fans and Telugu Desam party supporters attended the party. Balakrishna had thrown this reception for his fans who could not attend his daughter's wedding on August 26 at Hyderabad. Don release on December 20

Don directed by Raghava Lawrence and produced by M.L. Kumar Choudary on the banner of Sri Keerthi Creations with Akkineni Nagarjuna and Anushka in the lead will be releasing on December 20, 2007. Raghava Lawrence is making his debut as music director through this film. On the occasion of Nagarjuna's birthday, he said 'The Don has nothing to do with mafia, but it is a Robin Hood kind of character. The story, however, was woven around a fight between the Mumbai mafia don and Hyderabad mafia don. Lawrence had scripted a fantastic screenplay and the movement of the story would be quite thrilling. We are planning to release the film on December 20, 2007.'

Audio of the film Don being directed by Raghava Lawrence and produced by M.L. The producer is making efforts to release the film on December 23, the day on which 'Mass' was released last year. Ramgopal Varma's Aag as Aggi in Telugu

As you well know, Ramgopal Varma is making a Bollywood film with an inspiration from the all time superhit film Sholay of 1975. First the title of this Hindi film was choosen as Ramgopal Varma ka Sholay, but later it was changed to Aag as the producers of the original Sholay objected. This Hindi film directed and produced by Ramgopal Varma would be released as Aggi in Telugu on August 31 through Money Tree Entertainment. The film unit is arranging a press meeting at Taj Krishna hotel in Hyderabad at 8 pm on August 23 to explain the details of 'Aggi', in which the unit would explain about the film in the form of trailers and song clippings to the media. AR Rahman is the music director of Pawan Kalyan-S.J. Surya movie

Pawan Kalyan is going to do a movie under the direction of S. J. Surya. As you well know, they previously worked together for Kushi which was a block buster and biggest hit in the career of Pawan Kalyan. After Kushi S.J. Surya directed the film Naani starring Maheshbabu, but it was not successful. Now he is doing another Telugu movie with Pawan Kalyan. A.R. Shooting of the film Ontari directed by B.V. Ramana and produced by Pokuri Baburao on the banner of Eetaram Films with Gopichand and Bhavana in the lead was started about two weeks ago. Presently some action scenes are being shooted in Hyderabad under the direction of fight master Vijay. After completion of this schedule, the film unit would leave for Srisailam, Vizag and other places for shooting of another schedule. Manisharma is scoring the music for the movie.

Superstar Krishna in 100 Kotlu (100 crores)

Superstar Krishna is doing a special role in a film titled 100 Kotlu (100 Crores) directed by fight master Marshal Ramana and produced by Manjunatha Movies. Baladitya and Saira Bhanu are the lead pair in this film. The film is set in the backdrop of mafia and black money. Hero unearthing the 100 Crores worth of black money from mafia is all about the film.

53rd National Film Awards

53rd National Film Awards were declared on August 07, 2007. Bommalata (A Bellyful of Dreams) was selected as the Best Regional Film in Telugu. The child artist who played lead role in this film Saikumar won the Best Child Artiste award. Bommalata is directed by K. Suryaprakasha Rao (son of director K. Raghavendra Rao) and produced K. Raghavendra Rao and Rana (grandson of Ramanaidu).

Bengali film Kaalpurush directed by Buddhadeb Dasgupta was selected as the Best Feature Film for 2005 while Hindi film Parineeta directed by Prodip Sarkar was selected for Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director. The Best Actor Award went to superstar Amitabh Bachchan for Black and Best Actress award to Sarika for her performance in the film Parzania directed by Rahul Dholakia.

Rang De Basanti directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra was selected as the Best Popular Film while Nargis Dutt Award for the Best Feature Film on National Integration went to Malayalam film Daivanamathil directed by Jayaraj.

Balakrishna's daughter Brahmani & Lokesh reception at Naravaripalle

Chandrababu Naidu said that the marriage reception of Balakrishna's daughter Brahmani and his son Lokesh will be held at Naravaripalle. He visited Tirupati to place the first wedding card of his son at the feet of Lord Sri Venkateswara. He said he will be going to Tirumala along with his wife on Wednesday morning to offer special prayers. He also said that party leaders and workers are not invited and the marriage will be performed in a simple way.

Lakshmi Putrudu shooting progress

The final schedule of the movie Lakshmi Putrudu directed by Rajkapoor and produced by Polisetty Rambabu on the banner of RS Films with Udaykiran and Diya in the lead is in progress. Presently a song is canned on Brahmanandam and Mumaith Khan at Ramoji Film City. This song is being choreographed under the dance direction of Nixon. The current schedule which began on July 19 would continue till August 18. After the completion of this song, the unit would leave for Kerala. There they will shot some key scenes on the lead artistes. Rajan P. Dev, Riyaz Khan, Shakeela, Gauthamraju, Duvvasi Mohan and others are in the cast. Camera is handled by Suresh. Music is scored by Imaan. P. Sandhya Rani is the presenter of the movie.

Megastar Chiranjeevi next movie is Uyyalawada Narasima Reddy

Mega Star Chiranjeevi will be potraying the role of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy in his next film which will be his 150th film. Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was famous freedom fighter who fought with British even before Mangal Pandey and hence Megastar has choosen his life history as the subject of his 150th film. Initially he planned of directing this film on his own, but later he changed his mind and now V.V. Vinayak is going to direct this prestigious movie. Presently, they are busy in the research about this famous freedom fighter from Andhra Pradesh. Let us hope this would be a memorable movie Megastar's career.

Yamagola (Mallee Modalayindhi) release on Independence Day

Post production works of the film Yamagola (Mallee Modalayindi) produced by Amar, Rajasekhar and Satish on the banner of Frames Entertainments and directed by Srinivasa Reddy with Srikanth, Venu, Meera Jasmine, Reemasen in the lead had completed recently. Srikanth is playing the role of Yamadharma Raju and Venu is playing the role of Chitragupta in this movie. The film will be released on Independence Day. Thomas Xavier scored music for the movie.

Shooting of the film Vijayadasami'directed by V. Samudra and produced by Edara Ranga Rao on the banner of Sai Sarvajit Movies with Nandamuri Kalyanram and Vedika in the lead is progress well at Indra House in Ramoji film City. Presently climax scenes are being shot. Saikumar is playing the role of villain in this film. This film is the remake of the super hit Tamil film Sivakasi. Vaana shooting begins on August 10

Shooting of the film Vaana produced by M.S. Raju would begin on August 10, 2007. This film is a remake of super hit Kannada film Mungaru Mallai. It was believed that MS Raju's son Sumanth is going to be introduced with this movie, but Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao announced that a new face is being introduced as hero but not M.S. Raju's son. Music director Devi Sri Prasad might be introduced as hero with this film.

Shankar to direct Shah Rukh Khan

Tamil star director Shankar's next film is Robot with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. This film will be produced under the banner of Red Chillies. Red Chillies is the Shah Rukh Khans own production company. This is the second Hindi film for Shankar. He previously directed the film Nayak with Anil Kapoor and Manisha Koirala in the lead which was the remake of Oke Okkadu.

Don shooting progress

The shooting of the film Don directed by Raghava Lawrence and produced by M.L. Kumar Choudary on the banner of Sri Keerthi Creations with Nagarjuna and Anushka in the lead is progressing well at Jayabheri Club. Some important scenes on the hero, heroine and other lead artistes are being shot during the schedule. The director said that there are no similarities to the Telugu Don with the Hindi Don. The details about the story and character of Nagarjuna are kept secret.

Union minister Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao provided the story and screenplay. Some action scenes were shot on Mumaith Khan and Satya Prakash and others. Prabhakar, Sayaji Shinde, Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, M.S. Narayana, L.B. Sriram, Raghubabu, Jeeva, Satya Prakash and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by P. Rajendra Kumar, music is scored by Vandemataram Srinivas, camera is handled by Surender Reddy. Dasari Padma is presenting the movie.

Basheed on the banner of Bajju Arts with Venu, Naresh, Parvati Melton and Mallika Kapoor in the lead is all set to hit the screen on August 10, 2007. Chakri scored melodious tunes for the movie. Shekar Kammula's Happy Days to hit screens in the first week of September

Happy Days directed and produced by Shekhar Kammula is all set to release in the first week of September. His films Anand and Godavari were successful. Shekar Kammula said "If Anand is a film about romanticizing simple things in life; Happy Days is about romanticizing college life. Happy Days will be more forceful compared to my earlier movies." Shekar is introducing all new faces in the movie. In association with Big FM, he has conducted a star hunt and finally selected four boys Sandesh, Nikhil, Vamsi Krishna and, Raahul for the main lead in the film. Mickey J. Mayers is the music director of this film.

Homam shooting progress

80 percent of the shooting of the film Homam being directed by hero turned director J.D. Chakravarthy with Jagapatibabu and Mamata Mohandas in the lead has been completed with the recent schedule that ended on July 30. J.D. Chakravarthy is also playing a role in the movie. The final schedule of the film is will begin from August 11 and the shooting would be completed with that schedule.

Vishal is playing hero in a straight Telugu film

Hero Vishal who acted in Tamil films and they were dubbed into Telugu as Pandemkodi, Bharani and Pogaru is in fact a Telugu boy and is the son of noted industrialist G.K. Reddy. His elder brother Vikram Krishna is the producer of all his earlier films and is also going to produce now a straight Telugu film with Vishal and Nayanatara in the lead and popular Kannada star Upendra in a special role and Mayuri-fame Sudhachandran is playing the role of hero's mother in the movie. The film would be launced at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on August 14, 2007. This is the second movie for the director of this film whose first film is presently in post-production stage and ready to be released soon.

Adi Oka Idilay in re-recording

Shooting of the film Adi Oka Idilay produced by Ramgopal Varma on the banner of RGV Film Factory and directed by Kona Venkat with Madhavan, Sada and Shamita Shetty in the lead has been completed. Presently re-recording is in progress. The film is being simultaneously made in three languages Telugu and Tamil. Story and dialogues for the Telugu version are also being written by Kona Venkat. The Hindi version of the film is made with the title Darling is being directed by Ramgopal Varma himself with Fardeen Khan, Isha Deol and Isha Koppikar in the lead. The Tamil version is being released with the title Leelai. The film would be released in the month of September.

Chirutha audio on August 22?

Audio of the film Chirutha directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Ashwini Dutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies introducing Ram Charan Teja son of Megastar Chiranjeevi would be released by Aditya Music on August 22, 2007, but the audio release date is yet to be confirmed. Presently the unit left for Bangkok for the final schedule. The film had completed its Bangkok schedule and also the Hyderabad schedule previously. Manisharma scored music for the movie.
