Jalsa Audio launched by Megastar Chiranjeevi

Audio of the film Jalsa being directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Allu Aravind on the banner of Geeta Arts with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Ileana in the lead was launched at a grand function held in Hyderabad on February 29, 2008. Parvati Melton and Kamilini Mukherjee are the other female leads in this film. The audio was released into market by Aditya Music early morning on February 30. Megastar unfolded the first audio cassette and gave to Ram Charan Teja and audio CDs to all the celebrities who were present on the occasion. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, Nagendrababu, Ram Charan Teja, Allu Arjun, Allu Aravind and Allu Sirish were present at the function. Heroines Ileana and Parvati Melton also attended the function. Baba Sehgal came from Mumbai for this function and he sung the title song of Jalsa on the dias. Director Trivikram Srinivas, hero Navdeep, Dil Raju, Brahmanandam, Ali, Sunil and many others were also present.

Ranga Panduranga to shoot in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam

Unit of the film Ranga Panduranga starring Balakrishna and Sneha is going to Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam for the shooting of three songs. There are some beautiful Hindu temples in the three countries and they are planning to shot a song in each of these contries with those temples in background on the leading pair Balakrishna and Sneha. Shooting of those songs will begin on March 1 and continue for 15 days. This film is being directed by Raghavender Rao and produced by his brother on the banner of RK films. Tabu is the other leading female in this film.

Jalsa audio album will have 9 songs

Shooting of the film being directed by Rajendra Darshan and produced by Sadguru Cinema with Sairam Shankar in the lead is progressing well. Most part of the shooting including two songs has been completed and remaining part will be completed by April. Vaade Kavali is the title under consideration for this film. Newcomer Suhasi is the heroine of this film. The film is getting ready for summer release.

Nagarjuna's next film it titled King. This film is being directed by Srinu Vaitla and produced by Shiva Prasad Reddy on the banner of Kamakshi Movies. Shooting of this film will be launched on April 7, 2008. Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan are providing the script for this film. Trisha is the female lead. VVS Laxman unveiled Nagaram audio

Audio of the film Nagaram being directed by Srinivas and presented by M.V. Choudary starring Srikanth and Kaveri Jha has been launched on February 22, 2008. Cricketer V.V.S. Laxman released the first audio album. Hero Ravi Teja was also present on the occasion along with cast and crew of the film. Jagapathi Babu is playing an important role in this film. Manisha Koirala has done an item number in this film. Chakri is the music director.

Warner Brothers to make a film with Mahesh Babu?

Warner Brothers (India) is planning to present a Telugu film with Prince Mahesh Babu. Warner Brothers has already anounced that they are making a Bollywood film with Akshay Kumar titled Made in China and a film with Kamal Hassan titled Marmayogi, which is also directed by Kamal Hassan himself. This film with Maheshbabu be produced by K. Surya Prakash Rao, son of K. Raghavendra Rao and directed by S.S. Rajamouli.

2006 Nandi Awards list

The State Film Development Corporation announced the 2006 Nandi Awards list on February 13, 2008. The awards will be given away in a function held by the state government in the last week of March. Nagarjuna has got the best actor award for his performance in Sri Ramadadu. Nandita Das got best actress award for her role in Kamli. Genelia got special jury award for Bommarillu. The Nandi award for the best picture went to Bommarillu while second best film award was given to Godavari and third best film to Ganga. Shekhar Kammula got the best director award for Godavari. The rest of the awards are best comedian actor for Venu Madhav in Lakshmi , best comedian actress for Abhinaya in Sri Paisalo Paramathma , best music director for Keeravani for Sri Ramadasu , best family film for Sri Ramadasu, best childrens film for Bharathi, second best childrens film Kittu, best choreographer for Ragava Larencce for Style , and best popular film for Pokiri.

Jodhaa Akbar Telugu version release on March 6

Bollywood film Jodhaa Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai is releasing on February 15, 2008. The film is also dubbed into Telugu and the Telugu version would be released on March 6, 2008. Both Telugu and Tamil versions will be releasing on the same day.UTV which is producing this film is also releasing the Telugu version on its own. This is a historical film based on the life of Mughal King Akbar and his Rajput wife Jodhaa.

Ranga Panduranga shoots Pandaripuram

Shooting of the film Ranga Panduranga starring Balakrishna, Tabu, Archana, and Sneha is progressing at Pandipuram from February 12, 2008. R Narayanamurthy in a guest role in Andamaina Manasulo

It is being said that People Star R. Narayanamurthy has played a guest role in the film Andamaina Manasulo, which is ready to be released very soon. Andamaina Manasulo is the directorial debut film for music director R.P. Patnaik. This is the first film that is of different category in which Narayanamurthy has acted. He has previously acted in only rebel films like Erra Sainyam, Chimaladnadu, Orey Riksha and other films, most of which were directed and produced by himself. Kunal, Lakshmipati, and Kalpana Rai passed away

Kunal (Premikula Roju fame) committed suicide by hanging himself at around 10pm on February 6th in his flat in Mumbai. It is being said that he was going through marital problems. The apartment's watchman says he is suspecting marital disputes between Kunal and his wife. Kunal's wife left the house with their two children just two days ago.

Comedian Chittajallu Lakshmpathi Rao on February 7th found dead at his bathroom at his residence in Motinagar, Hyderabad. The reason for his death is not known. Since two days he did not come out and relatives found his dead body this morning. Lakshmipathi had acted in films like Allari, Jayam, Choodalani Vundi and Murari.

Comedy actress Kalpana Rai passed away on February 7th at her residence in Hyderabad. She had acted in 400 films.

Kajal Agarwal opposite Ram Charan Teja

It is now confirmed that S.S. Rajamouli is going to direct the film with Megastar Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja. Ram Charan Teja's debut film Chirutha directed by Puri Jagannath has recently celebrated its hundred days function. Many heroines were considered to be playing the lead actress role in this film, but Kajal Agrawal has been finalized for the role. She has previously acted in the films Seetaramakalyanam directed by Teja and Chandamama directed by Krishna Vamsi. The shooting of this film is believed to begin on February 26 in Rajasthan.

Megastar next movie title is Abhinayakudu?

Parachuri Gopala Krishna has confirmed that Megastar Chiranjeevi's next film will begin in March. Paruchuri borthers are currently writing a script for that film. They have prepared five stories that suits Chiranjeevi and he will be finalizing one from this in a few days. It would be loaded with political dialogues and inspiring theme. They have taken everything in account including what his fans and others expecting from megastar in the current situation. The director for this film has not yet been finalised, but it would be produced by Allu Aravind, K . Raghavendra Rao and Ashwinidutt together. The title of the film would be Abhinayakudu. Chiruta 100 Days function

Chiruta has completed 100 days recently. On this occasion, a function was held at Mountain Heights at Shilpa Kala Vedika. Venkatesh, Ravi Teja, Srikant, Allu Arjun, NTR were present on the occasion. Top directors including SS Rajamouli, Bommarillu Bhaskar, and B. Gopal and producers like D Ramanaidu, KS Rama Rao, Allu Arvind, S Gopal Reddy, C Kalyan, G Seshagiri Rao, Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, Edida Nageswara Rao were also present. Dr Dasari Narayana Rao was the chief guest. Megastar family was also present. Mementoes were given away to the entire cast and crew.

Pelli Vari Illu to be directed by Kodi Ramakrishna

M.S. Raju is going to produce a film titled Pelli Vari Illu. This film will be directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, who had earlier worked with M.S. Raju Deviputrudu starring Venkatesh.
