Pawan Kalyan-Trivikram Srinivas film to be released at Sankranti

Power Star Pawan Kalyan starrer film being directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Allu Aravind on the banner of Geetha Arts will be releasing in mid January as Sankranti gift. The title of the film is yet to be confirmed, but Jalsa is likely to be the title. Apart from Ileana, Parvati Milton and Kamilini Mukherjee are in the female lead in this film. Apart from three fights and three songs, the rest of the shooting has been completed.

Sumanth-Anushka film to be launched on December 15

A film is being planned by producer Thota Venkateshwara Reddy to be directed by Paruchuri Murali on the banner of Sairoopa Films with Sumanth and Anushka in the lead. Sumanth's last film was Classmates, which did not do well at the box office. The film’s story is yet to be finalized. Thota Venkateswara Reddy had earlier produced films like Sawaal and Student. Paruchuri Murali had previously directed films like Nee Sneham and Andhrudu. The shooting of this film is likely to begin on December 15, 2007.

Dr. D. Ramanaidu to be to felicitated on November 5

Dr. D. Ramanaidu had gone to Chennai some 50 years ago to become an actor, but he couldn’t get a break. He then took to making films on the banner of Suresh Productions and became one of the most successful producers in Tollywood and is known as Movie Mughal. His first film as a producer was Ramudu-Bheemudu starring Ex Chief Minister Late Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao and the latest film on his banner is Thulasi, which was recently released and running successfully. It has been 50 years since he has started making films. His elder son is Sureshbabu who is an established producer and his younger son Venkatesh is an established heroand now his grandsons are soon to make their debut on the silver screen. He is still going strong making films to make a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. To mark this occassion, a function is to held to felicitate him on November 5, 2007.

Bhajantrilu release on November 1

Bhajantrilu being directed by comedian M.S. Narayana under the banner of Devi Film’s Unit with Vikram and Sivaji in the lead will be released on November 1, 2007. The film is essentially a light subject with sister sentiment. The film has got censor clearance. Audio of the film was recently released and is doing well. Vikram is the son of M.S. Narayana and his first film is Koduku, which was also directed by M.S. Narayana.

Lakshyam 100 Days function on November 3 at Lalita Kala Toranam

Gopichand and Anushka starrer Lakshyam had completed 100 days successfully. This film was second consecutive hit for producer Bujji. Bujji is also going to produce a film with Siddardh in the lead. Bujji is planning to celebrate the occasion in a big way. The film's 100 days function is to be held on November 3, 2007 at Lalita Kala Toranam in Hyderabad.

Sawaal shooting progresses

Shooting of the film Sawaal being directed by B. Jaya and produced by Tota Venkateswara Reddy with Tenth Class-fame Bharat and Suhani in the lead is progressing at a brisk pace. Major portion of the shooting of the film has been completed. Three songs were recently canned on the lead pair at various beautiful locations like Shiva Samudram, Kaver Waterfalls, Mahesh Hills. Bharat is playing an action role in this movie. Producer is planning to release the film in December.

Ready Denikaina says hero Ram

Shooting of the film titled Ready with the tagline Denikaina being directed with Srinu Vaitla and produced by Sravanthi Ravikishore with Ram and Genelia in the lead is progressing well.
The film has completed its first schedule. A song for the film will be canned at Vizag. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for the flick. Hero Ram made his debut with Devadasu, which was a big hit, but his second movie Jagadam did not do well at the box office. This is his third film. Maheshbabu is thought to be very interested on getting involved with NGOs and do charity work for the needy people. Megastar has started Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust with blood bank and eye bank some 10 years ago. Nandamuri Balakrishna has started Nandamuri Charitable Trust. Very recently Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has started Common Man Protection Force. Now it is turn of Maheshbabu who is thinking of starting charity work. Maheshbabu's latest flick Athidhi was released recently. He has two films, Mirchi and Hare Rama Hare Krishna in the making. He will start shooting again after a three month break.

A film with Akash in the lead

An yet to be titled film to be directed by Srinivas and produced by Avula Ramesh with Akash in the lead is going to be launched on November 2, 2007. Srinivas has previously worked under Ram Gopal Varma. Akash whose first film as hero Anandam was a big hit, but later his films did not do well. He was later seen in supporting roles in films like Vasantam and Andala Ramudu. He is currently doing the film Nava Vasantam, in which he is one of the four heroes. Akash is going to be seen as a solo hero after a long gap in this film.

Srihari new film launched

A film being directed by K. S. Nageswara Rao and produced by Tadivaka Ramesh Naidu under the banner of Image Films with Realstar Srihari in the lead was launched on October 21. Nageswara Rao and Srihari have previously worked together for the films Police and Sambayya, both of which were successful movies.

Kantri cans song in Hyderabad

Regular shooting of the film Kantri being directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Ashwinidutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies with Junior NTR and Hansika Motwani has begun from October 24, 2007. Presently, an introductory song on hero NTR and dancers is being canned at Almunium Factory in Hyderabad. This is the first Telugu film for director Meher Ramesh. He directed two films in Kannada. Star cricket match on November 4 in Vizag

Cricket match is being conducted next month in Vizag. Hero and dubbing artiste Sai Kumar, his brother Ayyappa Sarma and hockey player Mukesh Kumar are coordinating the preparations. The match will be held on November 4 in the city of Vizag. There will be two matches held, one match will be between the heroes XI and Azhar XI, while another would be between the heroines and the women cricketers.

Venu next movie under RGP banner

Ravi Kiran who is a realtor is going to produce a film with hero Venu under RGP banner. Shooting of this untitled movie would begin in December. He had earlier produced films like Gopi, Toss and Allare Allari. He has also acquired the distribution rights for Lakshmiputrudu. The dialogues for this film are by Sarada Rajan, lyrics by Ghatikachalam while cinematography is by Satti Babu.

K. Raghavendra Rao and Bhaaravi Bhadrachalam

K. Raghavendra Rao and Bhaaravi visited Lord Sri Rama's temple in Bhadrachalam along with the script of Ranga Panduranga for the blessings of the diety on October 18, 2007. Sneha and Archana have been signed for this Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer film. Either Priyamani or Parvati Milton will be the third heroine in this film. Music has been composed by M.M. Keeravani. Four songs have already been recorded. This is the fourth film in the combination of Raghavendra Rao and J.K. Bharavi after Annamayya, Sri Manjunatha and Sri Ramadasu. M.M. Mahesh babu Atidhi Review

Atidhi (Maheshbabu) is orphan and taken up by Rajeev Kanakala and his wife when he was child. Amrita (Amrita Rao) is the daughter of Rajeev Kanakala. Rajeev Kanakala decides to join Atidhi in the hostel and while he and his wife were taking Atidhi to the hostel a man stops them and asks for money. He kills Rajeev Kanala and his wife on refusal of giving the money. Police arrests Atidhi saying that he has killed them. Atidhi after spending 13 years in jail comes out and searches for Amrita. He comes to know that Kaiser was the man who killed Rajeev Kanakala and his wife. Amrita meets him accidentally and follows him. Atidhi comes to know that Kaiser even wants to kill Amrita. How Atidhi learns that the girl accompanying him was his childhood friend Amrita and how he saves her from Kaiser is the remaining story.

Mahesh babu looks good with his new hair style. His performance very good. Amrita Rao's performance is pretty ordinary and she does not look good in this movie. Sameer Reddy camera work is excellent. Action scenes are good. Malika Arora appears in the guest role in a song and she is good. Comedy is very limited and okay. Film is too lengthy and direction by Surender Reddy is good in parts, but not well on a whole. One can watch this movie for Maheshbabu.

John Apparao 40 Plus shooting progress

The shooting of the talkie part of John Apparao 40 plus being directed by Kuchipudi Venkat with Krishna Bhagwan and Simran in the lead is likely to be completed by October 24. The film's unit will then go to Hungary to shoot for two songs and will return to do a song at a special set erected for the song. This is the third successive hit in the combination of S.S. Rajamouli and Junior NTR after Student No.1 and Simhadri. Producers of this film have decided to celebrate the film's success in public. The film will be celebrating its 50 days in Guntur on October 14, 2007. Junior NTR and other stars in the movie will attend this function. The venue is yet to be announced. A big Yamalokam set will be erected for the function.
