Shooting of the film Mallanna directed by Susi Ganesh and produced by Kalaipuli Thanu on the banner of V Creations with Vikram and Shriya in the lead would be launched on September 24.
Susi Ganesh prevously directed the film Manikyam 420 and he worked under Maniratnam. This is a heavy budget film that would be a bilingual film and the Tamil version would begin on September 23 at Chennai, while the Telugu version would be launched on September 24 in Hyderabad. The title of Tamil version is Kandaswami. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for this film.
