Singer Usha who became popular with the song 'Tuneegaa Tuneegaa' from Manasantha Nuvve gave her first stage appearance with 'Padutha Teeyagaa' programme in ETV anchored by S.P. Balasubrahmanyam.
After earning compliments from several popular singers and musicians she started lending her voice to film songs and became a popular singer with films like Chitram and Jayam.
She was married to Devarakonda Srikanth, a software engineer on June 12, 2005 and left for the US . Though she stopped singing for films, she continued to show her presence through stage shows there. Usha gave birth to a baby boy on May 18 this year called Agastya Sai.
