Audio of the film Athidi directed by Surender Reddy and produced by G. Rameshbabu on the banner of Krishna Productions with Prince Maheshbabu and Amrita Rao in the lead would be launched on September 5, 2007. Movie would be releasing on October 3, 2007. Music of this film is scored by Manisharma. The shooting of the film is presently progressing at an aluminum factory. This is the first Telugu film for Amrita Rao. She has previously acted in Bollywood movies like Main Hoon Na and Vivaah. This is the second movie as producer for Rameshbabu who is the elder brother of Maheshbabu. His previous movie was Arjun directed by Gunasekhar starring Maheshbabu.
