A.R. Rahman is setting up a music school

A R Rahman has celebrated his 42 birthday on January 6. On this occasion, he announced that he is going to setup a music school in Chennai. This music school is called as KM Conservatory and Audio Media Education that would train interested people in various forms and genres of music. The courses would include Western Vocal and Instrumental Performance, Indian Classical Vocal, Western and Indian Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Ear Training, Piano, Audio Engineering, an Apple certified course in Logic Pro, and a Digidesign certified course in Pro Tools. This school will be setup in Kodambakam and he plans of shifting the campus to a larger space in the outskirts of Chennai in the future. The courses would be starting from this May.
