Teja to turn producer soon

Cinematographer Teja turned into a director with the movie Chitram, which was a bit hit. He later directed the hit movies like Nuvvu-Nenu and Jayam. Later he did not have much success with the films Nijam, Kadanna, Jai, Oka Vichitram, and Lakshmi Kalyanam. Now this director is planning to enter into film production and had asked Krishnavamsi to direct the film. The script work of the movie is in brisk progress. The film is likely to go to sets in the last week of June or in the first week of July.

Dubai Seenu release on June 7, 2007

Raviteja starrer Dubai Seenu is to be released on June 7, 2007. This movie is directed by Sreenu Vaitla and produced by D.V.V. Danaiah on the banner of Universal Media with Raviteja and Nayanatara in the lead. Speaking on the occasion, producer D.V.V. Danaiah says, "We are planning to release our film Dubai Seenu with 225 prints across the state on June 7, 2007". Raviteja's role in this film is a mass character and is a total entertainer. Likewise, Nayanatara not only filled the glamour slot but had good scope to perform. Sreenu Vaitla's recent film 'Dhee' was a big hit and Universal Media's recent release Desamuduru was a blockbuster.

Lakshyam shooting in progress at Rajahmundry

Lakshyam shooting is in progress in Rajahmundry and its surrounding areas. This film is produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas (Bujji) on the banner of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions. Gopichand and Anushka are in the lead introducing Srivasu as director. The shooting of the film was held in Hyderabad till recently. Almost 90 per cent of the film shooting is completed. Pawan Kalyan leaves for Singapore trip

Power Star Pawan Kalyan left for Singapore along with his family to relax for a few days. Presently he was busy with a film being directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Allu Aravind on the banner of Geeta Arts. Some action scenes were shot during the current schedule. The next schedule of the film was planned in June and by that time, Pawan Kalyan would return to India. Ileana would also return to shooting by June and she is now busy in her sister's marriage. Kalyanram's film shoots two songs abroad

The unit of the movie directed by V. Samudra and produced by Edara Ranga Rao on the banner of Sai Sarvajit Movies with Nandamuri Kalyanram as hero had recently shooted two songs in Austria and Germany in Europe and returned to India. These two songs were scripted by Eswar Teja under the direction of choreographer Noble. The second schedule would begin from June 1, 2007. The film is the remake of a successful Tamil film Sivakasi.

Godavari Films' movie completes shooting

The shooting of the talkie part of a film directed by Satyam Dwarapudi and produced by Rameshkumar Alapati and Soma Vijayaprakash on the banner of Godavari Films with Sivaji, Naresh and Sridevi in the lead was completed. Shooting of a song was in progress at Padmalaya Studios recently. A song scripted by Chirravuri Vijayakumar was shooted under the choreography of Krishna Reddy on Naresh and Tanu Rai. This is the debut film for producer Rameshkumar. Shooting of three songs is remaining and will be completed by the end of this May. Audio will be launched in the first week of June and film will be released in the end of June.

Nithin's next movie

Producer Venkat is planning a film with Nithin as hero under the direction of Ravi C. Kumar of Samanyudu fame under the banner of R.R. Movie Makers. RR Movie Makers had recently produced films like Hangama, Samanyudu, and Gundammagari Manavadu is ready to release another film called Bahumati in a few days. A heroine who had successive hits to her credit would play opposite Nithin and a famous music director is being roped in to provide tunes for the movie. Presently script work is in progress and producer is planning to launch the film in August.

Sandhya completes shooting

Shooting of the movie Sandhya produced by Bairaiah on the banner of Trimurthy Celluloids introducing Gana Murali as director with Baladitya and Gayatri as hero and heroine was completed recently. This family-oriented film had recently choreographed two songs in and around Hyderabad. Chandramohan, Babu Mohan, M.S. Arthi Agarwal and Tarun to act in a film

Tarun and Arthi Agarwal have acted previously in the movies 'Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu' and 'Soggadu'. Tarun, who had no hits in the recent past was off the film industry for some time. Now, he is making his re-entry into films after some gap in a film 'Navavasantam' to be produced on the banner of Mega Super Good Films. Vennela’s Suman to direct a film

Suman Pathuri who had earlier worked as a Co-director for Vennela is now turning director. A new production company is producing his maiden film, which has newcomers as the lead pair. Ravi Varma and Kishore who were part of Vennela also act in this film. Mahesh Shankar scores music for the film while songs are written by Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry. Producer A.M. Rathnam’s son Ravi Krishna is doing another straight telugufilm. His debut film was 7/G Brundavan Colony, which was a very successful movie. New schedule of Mahesh Babu’s Athidhi has begun on May 22, 2007. A duet is being shooted at a specially designed set at Ramoji Film City. Singer Usha turns mother

Singer Usha who became popular with the song 'Tuneegaa Tuneegaa' from Manasantha Nuvve gave her first stage appearance with 'Padutha Teeyagaa' programme in ETV anchored by S.P. Balasubrahmanyam.

After earning compliments from several popular singers and musicians she started lending her voice to film songs and became a popular singer with films like Chitram and Jayam.

She was married to Devarakonda Srikanth, a software engineer on June 12, 2005 and left for the US . Though she stopped singing for films, she continued to show her presence through stage shows there. Usha gave birth to a baby boy on May 18 this year called Agastya Sai.

Telugu film 'Vanaja' has won four more awards in United States. This film is directed by Rajnesh Domalpalli. This movie is about a teenage girl in rural South India. Story

RajiniKanth (Sivaji) is a great businessman. He is The Boss of the company since he owns it. Suman is his manager plays a double role against RajiniKanth and ruins his business and makes Sivaji go to jail for the mistake that he has not performed. Rajini with the help of Vivek and Shriya hires a good criminal lawyer and comes out of jail in bail.

The role of the criminal lawyer is played by Raghuvaran. Rajini comes out of jail and takes revenge on people who were responsible for all of his sufferings. Rajini learns more about life when he is in jail and so after his release he does a lot of charity work to people who are in need. In the end with Raghuvaran helps him to regain all his lost property and Rajini becomes the boss again.

Story
Srikrishna (Siddharth) is the sun of theatre projector operator (Sharat babu) in a village. Srikrishna used to watch every movie released in the theatre from his childhood and feels himself as a hero. Vikki (Munna) the son of Home Minister(Jayaprakash Reddy) rapes and murders a friend of Satyavathi (Ileana) . Satyavathi protests against him with other students in the college. Vikki then decides to marry Satyavathi in revenge. She then escapes from there and goes to Antarvedhi where Srikrishna sees her and falls in love with her. Srikrishna saves her from Vikki gang and police and takes her to Hyderabad and hands over her directly to Vikki. Remaining story is about how he saves her and wins her love.

Siddharth's performance is very good as a village boy. Ileana is beautiful and glamourous as usual. Comedy track involving Sunil and Jayaprakash Reddy is entertaining. First half is boring and second half has some relief with entertainment. Story of the movie and climax are pretty ordinary. Songs are good and cinematography by Chota K. Naidu is excellent. Devi Sri Prasad's music is good. Overall, it is not up to its expectations. Let us see how the public receives it.

Aata is the second movie in the combination of M.S. Raju and Siddharth after super hit movie Nuvvu Vasthanante Nenodhanatana. It is also the second movie in the combination of M.S. Raju and director V.N. Aditya after super hit movie Manasantha Nuvve. This movie comes after super hit movie Bommarillu for Siddharth where as Ileana had not much success with her recent movie s Munna and Khatarnak even though her first two movies Devadasu and Pokiri were super hit. M.S. Raju also had no luck with his last movie Pournami while previous to that he has series of hits like Manasantha Nuvve, Varsham, Okkadu, and Nuvvu Vasthanante Nenodhanta.

Ileana Profile

Ileana's full name is Ileana D'Cruz. She was born on August 19, 1987 in Mumbai. Her nick name is Lana. She was grown up in Mumbai and currently stays in Goa. She was a model and did some ads before she came into the film industry. She has got three sisters and two brothers. Ileana started her movie career with the film 'Devadasu' directed by Y.V.S. Chowdhary. The director happened to see her in a fair and lovely ad directed by Rakesh Roshan and she was cast into the film.

Later she acted opposite Mahesh Babu in the film 'Pokiri' directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film turned out to be a huge hit. She became a top actress overnight. After that film she made her Tamil film debut with Ravi Krishna in the film Kedi. Although the film did not do so well at the box office, Ileana got the the required attention in the industry.

The successful actor-producer duo are coming together again for their latest venture under the direction of Bhasker, who is the director of the movie Bommarillu. “Dil Raju is a perfectionist and working with him is just amazing. He is master planner and has great sense of judgment when it comes to choosing scripts that will strike a chord with the audience” says Arjun. Actress Bhavana will be playing the female lead.

Shobhana denies rumors about marriage

One of the main news items that were carried by the cinema magazines last week was the marriage of Shobhana. The trained Bharatnatyam dancer was said to have got secretly married to a New Delhi-based man who also happens to be a dancer.

According to the rumors, he was a consultant with a private concern who is married and a father of two kids. The said person was rumored to share the stages with Shobhana, assisting her. When asked about these rumors, Shobana denied them.

“I haven’t got married to anybody. I am not prepared to go for a secret marriage. Actually I had little time to get married as my dance school and schedules keeps me too busy. I have dedicated my life completely for dance and my school”, replies Shobhana on the gossip talks.

Shobana is busy running a dance school and she is performing in various shows not just in India but also abroad.

The national award winning actress has already placed cinema in the back of her priority list and is in full energy pursuing her experiments with her dance styles and teaching students.

Hindi Ghajini to start on May 7

Ghajini is being remaked in Hindi with Amir Khan and Asin in the lead. The movie will go to floors from May 7, 2007. Scenes involving popular south Indian actress Asin and Aamir Khan would be shot initially. A couple of song sequence involving Aamir Khan and Asin would be shot initially. Director of the film is Murgadoss who is the director of the original Ghajini in Tamil that was also dubbed in Telugu.

Kodi Ramakrishna's Devathalu audio released

Kodi Ramakrishna's Devathalu auido has been released by Akkineni Nageswara Rao and D.Ramanaidu. Rishi and Bhanupriya are acting in the key roles in the film. Ghantadi Krishna scored the music.

Tamil movie Lee in Telugu

Tamil movie Lee starring Sibiraj who is the son of Tamil artiste Sathyaraj. The film is being dubbed into Telugu with the same name by P. Vijaykumar Reddy under the banner of Vijaya Kalyan Movies. Sibiraj is playing the role of a football player. Prakash Raj is playing another important role. Meera Chopra of Bangaram fame is in the female lead. Chirutha to be released on Chiru's birthday

Megastar Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja's debut film Chirutha directed by Puri Jagannadh is planned to be released on Chiru's birthday i.e., August 22, 2007. The film unit has returned from Thailand. The next schedule of the movie would begin from the May 3, 2007 in Hyderabad. The third schedule of the movie will take place in Bangkok. New face Neha is the heroine of the film cast opposite. Mani Sharma scores the music for the film and camera work is done by Shyam K. Naidu. Ashiwini Dutt is the producer of this film. K. Vijaybhaskar to direct Vishnuvardhan

K. Vijayabhaskar is going to direct a film with Vishnuvardhan who tasted his first success with Dhee. The movie would be produced by Mohan Babu on Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner. Mani Sharma would provide the music. Genelia is likely to be the heroine. The movie is going to be titled 'Romeo and Juliet' with the caption 'thodu dongalu'. The shooting would begin in this month.

Aata release on May 9

M.S. Raju's Aata directed by V.N. Aditya with Siddhartha and Ileana D'cruz in the lead is all set for release on May 9, 2007. Presently DTS mixing is in process. The first copy would be ready soon in a couple of days. The film is being released with 150 prints. Paruchuri Brothers penned dialogues for this flick.

Don in Austria and Germany

Nagarjuna's Don two songs are being picturised in Austria and Germany. After completing these songs, shooting will be done in Bangalore for 20 days schedule in June. This film is expected to be released in July and audio will be launched in the third week of June. Anushka is the heroine of this film.

Direction, screenplay, story, dialogues, choreography and music are by Raghava Lawrence. M.L. Kumar Chowdary is the producer, while editing is done by Marthand K. Venkatesh and director of photography is S. Gopal Reddy. This is the second film in the combination of Nagarjuna and Lawrence as director and this is the first film for Lawrence as a music director.

Shankardada Zindabad shooting in progress

Megastar Chiranjeevi's Shankardada Zindabad's shooting going on at a fast pace. The production is in a continuous schedule until May 13,2007 by which the talkie part of the film will be done. Dasari Narayana Rao celebrates 60th Birthday

Dasari Narayana Rao's 60th birthday celebrations were held in grand style at his residence on May 4, 2007 with his fans and film celebrities. Dasari had directed over 148 films and earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for directing the highest number of films. He has the title Darshakaratna. His wife is producer Dasari Padma and son is Dasari Arun Kumar who has acted in films like Greeku Veerudu.

Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao was born on May 4, 1947 in Palakollu in West Godavari district. After completing his B.A., he took part in drama competitions . He was soon recognised as a potential stage artiste, scriptwriter and director. He has directed 148 films, produced 53 films, and worked wrote dialogues and lyrics for about 250 films. He also acted in Telugu , Tamil, and Kannada langunages. He is the first director in the world to direct more than 100 movies. Kodi, Ramakrishna - who considers him as his Guru is the second person to cross over 100 movies.

Dasari started working in street plays at the age of 9 to earn his livelihood. He entered Telugu film industry at the age of 20. He completed 40 years in film industry. He won Andhra Pradesh State Best actor award for his acting. He introduced many newcomers and made them stars. Some of the best films directed by him include Thatha Manavadu, Megha Sandesam, Premabhishekam, Bobbili Puli, Sardar Paparayudu, Swayamvaram etc. His last super hit film was Osey Ramulamma. Okka Magaadu shooting near Rajamundry

Yuvarathna Balakrishna's Okka Magaadu directed and produced by Y.V.S. Choudary on the banner of Bommarillu is under shooting near Rajahmundry. Presently some action scenes are being shooted here. The shooting of six of the seven songs in the film have been completed. The director is trying to project Balakrishna's character in different angles.

Anushka and Nisha Kothari are the heroines of the film. Simran playing a special role in this film. Music of the film is scored by Manisharma. Dialogues are by Chintapalli Ramana. This is the first Telugu film for 'James' fame Nisha Kothari.

Prince Mahesh Babu's Athidi songs recording has completed. The film is directed by Y . Surender Reddy and produced by G. Ramesh Babu on the banner of Sri Krishna Productions. Amritha Rao is heroine of the film. Manisharma is music director of film and the songsa are recorded in Mahati Recording Studio in Film Nagar of Hyderabad recently.

Currently the shooting of the film is underway at Padmalaya Studios. The director of the movie is Y. Surender Reddy who has directed Athanokkade and Ashok. Maheshbabu's elder brother Rama Babu is the producer of the film who has in the past produced Arjun with Mahesh Babu. Dubai Seenu shooting completed

The shooting of movie 'Dubai Seenu' directed by Sreenu Vaitla and produced by Bhagawan and Danaiah on the banner of Universal Media was completed recently. Raviteja and Nayanatara are in the lead. The story of the film is about a guy named Seenu who has a life ambition to go to Dubai and settle in life. So, every one used to call him as Dubai Seenu.

Dubai Seenu is the second film in the combination of Sreenu Vaitla and Raviteja after 'Venky.' Audio of the film would be launched towards the end of May. Music is scored by Manisharma. Story is by Gopi-Mohan, dialogues are by Chintapalli Ramana, and camera is by Bharani Dharan. After Dubai Seenu, Raviteja has two films in pipeline. Chakravarthy's actual name is Kommineni Apparao. He first sung two songs for 'Jaya Vijaya'. He then worked as a dubbing artist for MGR, Gemini Ganeshan, Kannada Rajkumar, Kamal Hassan, and Rajnikanth for more than 600 films. He worked under K.V. Mahadevan. His first film as music director was 'Mooga Prema'.

Born in Poonnekallu as Kommineni Apparao, Chakravarthy had learnt classical vocal from Mahavadi Venkatappaih. During his college days, ha had formed a music troupe, vinod orchestra in Guntur and gave light music concerts. And he was also the main singer. During this phase, Mangapati of HMV spotted him and invited him to Madras. He later gave two private records for HMV, which include "Kanna Nenoka Kala". Here he met Rajen-Nagendra who gave him a singing assignment in the Kannada movie.

His success story as a music composer spread to 959 films, which include 60 in Kannada, four in Tamil, one in Malayalam, and the rest in Telugu. A personal calamity stopped him from taking further assignments in 1989. He had the unique record of composing music for 66 films in one calendar year and in 20 days, he had done live recording of 79 songs during 1978-79.

Jikki (G. Krishnaveni)

Jikki's actual name is G. Krishnaveni. She was born to Gajapathi Naidu and Rajakanthamma at Chittoor. Her uncle Devaraja Naidu was an assistant with famous Kannada music director Gubbi Veeranna.
