M. S. Rama Rao

M. S. Rama Rao was born on July 3, 1921 in Moparru in Guntur district. He was the first playback singer in Tollywood. He sung for the then hero Narayana Rao. He also sung for the films of K. S. Prakash Rao. He was the music director of 'Palle Paduchu'. He is famous for the devotional albums 'Hanuman Chalisa' and 'Sundarakanda'. He also acted in a film 'Tahsildar' (1944). He was married to Lakshmi Samrajyam. He passed away on April 20, 1992.
