Ram was born in 1988 in Hyderabad. He was brought up and finished his education in Chennai. He is the nephew of Telugu producer Sravanti Ravi Kishore. He debuted with Devadasu directed by Y.V.S. Chaudhary. It was also the debut film for the actress Ileana D'Cruz. His next movie was
Jagadam directed by Sukumar. Jagadam was Sukumar's second movie after super hit movie Arya with Allu Arjun.
