Megastar Chiranjeevi clapped Tarun's new movie produced under Mega Supergood banner. This film is the remake of the Tamil movie Punnagai Desam with Tarun as hero. Shahjahan is the director of the movie who is also the director of the original Tamil movie. Sunil, Akash and Rohit are playing other important roles while Priyamani is the female lead.
Muhurat of this film was held at Rama Naidu studios on the morning of May 9, 2007. Regular shooting of the film started on May 9. Previous Andala Ramadu and Annavaram were produced under Mega Supergood banner.
